This burner tube helps to cook your food on your gas grill by allowing gas to flow through the small holes or ports along its length, where it mixes with air and ignites to produce a flame. It is 17-3/4 inches long and has an outer diameter of 5/8 inches. It features a vented venturi end, a 90-degree bend, and a center slotted mounting hole at the back end. The burner tube is typically found underneath the heat tents, running parallel to it. If you notice signs like uneven flames, weak heat output, frequent clogs, or visible damage such as rust or corrosion, the burner tube needs to be replaced. To do so, you will need pliers and a screwdriver. Use these tools to remove the cooking grates, heat tents, and the holding pins and brackets that secure the tube to the grill box. Keep in mind that this OEM replacement part is sold individually, so verify the quantity needed for your equipment before making your purchase.

The Heat Tent prevents flare-ups, helps to distribute the heat of the flame evenly across the grill, and is responsible for providing that smoky BBQ flavor by creating smoke when drippings fall on them. Over time, the Heat Tent will tend to wear or rust and should be replaced if signs of either begin to show. The dimensions of the Heat Tent are approximately: 14.6"L x 4.3"W x 1.43" H, is made of porcelain, and may also be referred to as a Heat Plate, Flame Tamer, or a Heat Sheild. This stainless-steel heat tent, also referred to as a heat plate, is specifically designed for various gas grills. Heat tents serve the purpose of providing cover for burners, safeguarding them and preventing food residues from direct contact, while ensuring even distribution of heat for consistent grilling. It is crucial to promptly replace rusted or damaged heat tents to prevent grease fires and to achieve proper and uniform food cooking. Heat tents differ from burner tubes as they distribute heat rather than producing flame. This particular heat tent is constructed from durable stainless steel and measures approximately 17 inches in length and 2.5 inches in width. Grill components like heat tents are susceptible to rusting, so it is advisable to protect your grill adequately to extend their lifespan. The heat tent is sold as an individual part and does not include any additional components. During the replacement of your heat tent, it is recommended to inspect other grill parts for rust, corrosion, or damage, in case additional replacements are needed. Replacing all of your heat tents at the same time is generally a good idea, as it is likely they have rusted or become damaged at a similar rate. Replacing the heat tent(s) is a simple process: open the grill while it is turned off, lift out the old heat tent, and place the new heat tent inside.
