Decompression Valve 544200001

This is an authentic replacement part that is sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with chainsaws. The special valve is threaded and screws into the cylinder. The valve is used to allow air to escape the combustion chamber to make it easier to turn the engine over when pulling the recoil starter rope. The valve is opened prior to starting the engine and combustion within the cylinder causes the valve to close once the motor is started. A hex socket wrench is required to install this item and the valve is sold individually.
