Product Description

This is an adjusting pin kit, also known as a chain tensioner kit, for various chainsaw models. This genuine OEM kit features an adjustment/tensioner pin and bar adjustment screw to modify and change the tension of the chain, so when the chain becomes loose over time, you can tighten or loosen it depending on your needs. If the chain for your chainsaw becomes too loose, it can come off the bar and cause injury, but if too tight can damage the bar or engine of the chainsaw. This assembly is installed on or near the clutch assembly of the chainsaw and is usually accessible by removing an access panel. Replacing this assembly is easy and only requires a wrench and screwdriver. First, disengage the chain brake and remove the screws securing the side panel of your chainsaw. Remove the side panel and locate the bar adjustment screw. Loosen the old adjustment screw and remove it and the tensioner pin. Thread the new adjustment screw through the new tensioner pin until the screw is locked into place. Then rotate the screw counterclockwise until the pin is in the middle of the screw. Replace the cover panel assembly and test the chainsaw.
