Starter Rope 900849001

This rope is part of the pull starter system on Homelite and Ryobi gas powered lawn and garden equipment. It is an authentic manufacturer sourced replacement part, not an aftermarket equivalent. When the rope is pulled to start the engine, it is returned back into the starter pulley by means of the starter spring which is sold separately. Please note, this rope is made out of strong fabric and it is sold individually. Replacing this starter rope you will need a screwdriver. • Remove the housing-cover • Remove the carburetor • Disconnect the clutch housing • Bind the engine • Remove the clutch drum • Remove the clutch • Remove the starter • Remove the starter handle • Remove the recoil pulley • Remove the old rope • Install the new starter rope • Reassemble and test the unit
