It is used to produce pulses of high voltage electric current for the spark plugs, to cause ignition in the engine. This item is sold individually. When replacing an ignition module on a handheld equipment you will need a screwdriver set and pliers. • Remove the housing/cover • Disconnect the spark plug • Bind the cylinder • Remove the air filter cover and side cover • Remove the throttle cable from the carburetor • Disconnect the wires • Remove the old ignition coil • Install the new ignition coil • Reassemble and test the saw
