Guide Block (upper) 089120406052

I have an older Craftsman 9" Band Saw that the upper guide block broke. I was unable to fix a replacement part anywhere on the web, being told that this part has been discontinued. Then I found this part which was for a Ryobi. I call customer service and the service rep was very helpful. He compared the two parts by the pictures that they had listed and was not sure if they were a match but felt that they looked like they could be based on the grid. He gave me some good advice and options. Based on the price, I decided to give it a go and see if it would fit. It arrived sooner than anticipated and was a perfect fit. I will definitely return in the future if I need a replacement part.

I bought a Craftsman 9 inch bandsaw (Model 351.214190) at a flea mall, and the guide block broke the first time using it. With the demise of Sears, getting parts to old Craftsman tools is getting very hard, but I ran across this part, along with the pins and screws, which fit my Craftsman saw. The shaft is slightly shorter than the Craftsman original part, so there is not a lot of room for adjustment when using a narrow blade, but overall I am happy with finding a part to fit the saw. I would recommend this and will definitely use Fix.com again when I need replacement parts. I also recommend looking up the owner's manual for your tool and study a parts diagram when looking to replace a part, to ensure you get the right part for the right tool.
