This is a genuine OEM sourced high quality carbon brush, not an aftermarket imitation. It is specially designed for Porter Cable band saws. This item includes (1) carbon brush with a spring and a lead wire attached. Please not the brush holder and the brush cap are both sold separately. It is advised to replace both brushes at the same type. Replacing this carbon brush is a very easy task that should only require a flat-head screwdriver. • Make sure the tool is unplugged first • Remove the brush cap from the housing • Take out the old brush • Secure the new brush in the holder • Reattach the brush cap and test the tool
