Showed an E2 code which could mean door lock problem
or wiring connector (but) if I opened and shut the door the code went off and the unit went into Max spin and completed the cycle which emptied the remaining water out of the tub and the clothes!!!! Unplug the washer. Turn the H/C water valves off at the wall. Place a bucket up to the back of the unit. A pair of channel locks will help remove the H/C lines from the unit. Let the hose flow into the bucket. 2 star screws upper? L/R corners of the top, remove. Top slides back, lift up and take off. The cold in let will have 2 sm hoses with clamps. Squeeze the clamps together with your pliers and slide back on the hoses and pull the hoses off the nipples. The wiring connector has a small tab u push and it disconnects from the unit. The inlet valves have a tab to the side of the hose connector that u pry up with your screwdriver to unlock it so u can push the inlet free and pull out into to drum area. ( Reverse all of this and your good to go.) Hot outlet, same deal!! Easy job, $50 & 1hr fix even if you aren't a tech!!!! Read more...

One of the two braces on the dryer door hinge broke off. It was a balancing act to open and close the door.
1. Ordered a new hinge. 2. Took a picture of the inside of door and hinge area in case we needed a reminder of how the door was attached (didn't this this because it was all pretty simple). 3. Removed the dryer door by taking out the screws. 4. Took off old hinge by taking out the screws. 5. Attached the new hinge. 6. Reattached the door.

My husband and I are not the handiest at repairs, but this was simple, even for us! Read more...
