Refrigerator Water Filter
Fix Number FIX12724833
Manufacturer Part Number AGF80300702
This refrigerator water filter replacement is for 2010 LG refrigerators that have either forward French doors or are the four-door dispensing models. This filter is designed to minimize impurities that can cause ill-tasting water or an unpleasant smell. It reduces sediment, dirt, rust, limescale, sand, and many other contaminants that can be harmful to your health and the life of your appliance. This filter should be replaced every 6 months or 200 gallons to ensure top quality performance. To remove your unwanted filter, press the push button to open the filter cover (water may spill from the hole), pull out the old cartridge in a downward motion. To install the new filter, make it so the ears are in the horizontal position and push the new cartridge into the housing until it stops. Push the filter upward until it is secure. Click the cover to lock it in place. Run water for approximately 5 minutes to prep the filter for use, and discard water. Reset the “filter reset” button if applicable.

Refrigerator Door Switch
Fix Number FIX3529268
Manufacturer Part Number 6600JB1010A
If the light inside your fridge is not coming on, or if it is staying on continuously, there may be an issue with your door switch. When the door to your fridge is closed, the button on the switch is pressed down, which breaks the circuit and turns the lightbulb off. When the door opens and the button is released, the circuit is connected, and the light comes on. If you are unsure if the issue is with the door switch, or if your lightbulb has burned out, you can test the switch for continuity with a multimeter. If necessary, replacing the door switch is a simple repair, but please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your refrigerator before beginning any electrical repairs. This genuine OEM part is white in color and measures approximately 2.5 inches long.

Tubing for incoming water for ice maker and dispenser leaking.
The original tubing from LG was cut exactly to fit. Had to remove the water filter inside the refrigerator. It was just one screw, so it came off very easily. The tubing connected to the filter at the rear with a quick disconnect. Very easy swap out. The tubing is also connected to the pump (located at the bottom of the refrigerator behind the cover plate. Only needed to take off 6 screws and one screw that held the pump on. The tubing was also held on to the pump with a quick disconnect as well. The tubing is secured to the rear of the refrigerator by plastic clips and screws. This replacement was extremely easy to do. Read more...

Both Fans quit working, Got IF and FF codes. Temperature was high
Unplug frig! 1st remove the bin and basket shelves then the bottom door by remving two screws that hold the arms to the glides, the left side gear will come off after you take a small flat screw driver and tip the tap right behind the gear and release it. At an angle remove the gear with the rod, leave the other gear in place. Then the screws in the glides that attach them to the side walls. Now the back grill will come out by pulling the grill out top-then-side, etc. when it comes out you can only pull it out as far as the wires are long. Lay the grill down and unplug the fans from the back wall. (Don't pull the wires) I had to use needle nose on the IF plug (bottom)and another pair of regular pliers to remove the red plug from the bottom plug receptical. Then take the grill and fans to a table and remove the fans with a phillips screw driver. You can check the fans with a 12v battery by connecting the positive to the red wire and negative to the black. (Don't touch the purple wire with juice), You'll fry the Microprosessor. To install reverse steps. Read more...

Leaking connection from the valve to the Ice Maker line
Saw the leak, unplugged refrigerator, turned off water. Disconnected water line, removed back panel. Removed part and unplugged electrical connectors. Removed ice maker supply line, cut it about 2 feet ups and put a splicer/connector in. Replaced with a new line from there back to the valve. Inserted new tube in valve and made sure it was deep enough in and then secured it. (I replaced part of the line because it was not smoothed and that is where the leak was coming from). Reconnected the electrical connections and attached valve back to refrig. Put panel back on and then reconnected the water supply line. Turned water back on and checked for leaks. Plugged refrig back in and pushed back in place. Read more...
