Flood Switch The flood switch in your dishwasher controls the amount of hot and cold water that enters the appliance, ensuring the proper quantity of water to run the cycle. If your dishwasher is over or under filling with water, there may be an issue with the flood switch. This part is a genuine OEM replacement part designed to work with your dishwasher. Before beginning this repair, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to the dishwasher. You should not need to pull the appliance out from underneath the cabinets, but you will need to remove a number of parts from the bottom of the dishwasher to replace the flood switch. These parts include the lower rack, the wash arm, the fine filter and coarse filters, the filter adaptor, and the bracket that holds the switch in place. When removing the old switch, be sure that the o-ring has come out as well, so that the o-ring on the new switch is able to make a tight seal.

Interlock Switch This interlock switch is a genuine OEM part that can be used in a variety of appliances like dishwashers and dryers. The switch is also known as a belt switch and works as a simple on and off mechanism. The switch is used to stop the appliance from operating if the door has been opened. If your appliance continues to run even once the door has been opened, the interlock switch may have failed. Please be sure to disconnect the power source to your appliance before beginning this repair.

Overfill Control Switch This part is also known as a float switch. This float switch, when activated, stops the flow of water into the dishwasher.

Float Switch Water that fills your dishwasher lifts the float. When it reaches a certain level, the float triggers the float switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher.

Switch Interlock This switch interlock is found on your dishwasher door, and it must be actuated for the dishwasher to start. If your dishwasher door does not close properly, or if the machine will not start, you may have a problem with your switch interlock. This part is sold individually and is an OEM part, built specifically by the manufacturer.

Door Switches and Holder Assembly This part senses when the door is closed so the cycle can start.

Float Switch Kit This kit includes the switch, lever, seal and standpipe. Water that fills your dishwasher lifts the float, and when it reaches a certain level, the float acts as a trigger for the float switch. The float triggers the switch to shut off, thereby shutting off the flow of water into the dishwasher.
