The carbon brush takes the electricity from outside the motor to the motors spinning armature this is how the motor gets power. Due the amount a friction the carbon brush faces it tends to wear down over time. Signs your carbon brushes might be worn down are that the motor is running intermittently, there are electric breaking issues, and engine is experiencing reduced power. This carbon brush is sold individually, however these motors require two carbon brushes we recommend you replace both at the same time, even if only one is worn out. Before you put your new carbon brushes in place make sure you take time to inspect the armature.
