It is a genuine replacement armature which is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer, it is specially designed for use with DeWalt grinders. The armature is the center component of an electric motor which drives the tool, due to contact with carbon brushes armature will eventually wear out and would need to be replaced to maintain peak performance. It is a complete assembly which includes a high-quality armature, a durable plastic fan and two armature bearings, please note this item is sold individually.
