This replacement paddle assembly is a genuine OEM approved item. It is specially designed for Dewalt grinders. It is acts as a trigger switch that turns the tool on or off. It features a lock button to help increase comfort in extended use applications. To lock the tool on, push the lock-off lever toward the back of the tool then depress the paddle switch. With the tool running, depress the lock on button. The tool will continue to run after the paddle switch is released. To unlock the tool, depress and release the paddle switch. This will cause the tool to stop. It is made out of plastic and it is sold individually. To replace this part you would need a hex key/allen wrench. • Make sure the tool is unplugged • First you want to remove the housing screws • Separate the housing pieces • Remove the old paddle and secure the new on in place • Reassemble and test the tool
