Fan Motor DB31-10058C

Slow fan starts, scraping sounds, weak airflow, or an outdoor unit that shuts down may point to a worn fan motor. This motor drives the condenser fan, helping carry heat away from the outdoor coil during cooling. Similar trouble can come from a dirty coil, bent blade, weak capacitor, loose wire, or faulty control, so inspect those items first. Confirm fit using the full air-conditioner model, shaft size, connector type, speed, and electrical rating. Turn off the circuit breaker and outdoor disconnect before opening the cabinet. Have a qualified technician make the capacitor safe. Reinstall every cover and guard, then check for smooth rotation and proper airflow.
