Inside certain through-the-wall air conditioners, a display board links the control buttons and visual indicators to the appliances electronic system. Replacement may be needed when the panel stays dark, shows missing segments, ignores commands, or operates only at times. First inspect the keypad, harness, connector pins, incoming power, and signs of moisture or corrosion. Do not assume the display board has failed if the whole unit has no power. Match the board to the full model and production code. Turn off and disconnect the electrical supply before opening the cabinet. Avoid touching circuit contacts, move one connector at a time, secure the protective cover, and test all panel functions after installation.
