Does not agitate during wash cycle. It goes through the process drains spins etc. It's not the agitator it moves only one direction. What else do you think it could be?

We have researched the model you have provided and we would recommend checking the following parts to fix your issue: the shift actuator, the drive block, the washer drive pulley, the drive belt, and the drive motor. Hello Marie, thank you for your question. The Actuator FIX16221077 has an optical sensor that tells the washing machine when to shift from one function to another. It shifts the transmission from agitating to spinning for example. The Agitator FIX11742049 rubs against clothes to help break apart stains and loosen soils. So, you could say the actuator tells the agitator what to do and when to do it. We hope this helps.
First pry off the cap of the agitator. Then using a socket remove the bolt that holds the plastic cup in place. Remove this cup by prying it loose from the two tabs that hold it in place.
