I am seeing error codes e3 f8 and e1 f9. I have checked the filter twice and took apart all of the drain hose and rinsed it out.
For model number WFW75HEFW0
Hello Paul, thank you for your inquiry. Sometimes an error code is caused by a control board glitch, and resetting the washer is all it takes to resolve the error code. To reset the washer, you simply need to disconnect the power to the machine for a few minutes. The F8E3 error code means that the ACU (main control board) has detected an overflow condition, which means the washer has filled too long without the water level pressure sensor trip being detected. As a precaution to prevent flooding, the control has shut down the cycle, drained the water from the tub, and reported the F8E3 error. Clean out your drain pump filter or coin trap. Check the water level pressure hose from the water level pressure sensor to the air trap on the tub; ensure that the hose is not pinched or torn and that neither the air trap nor the hose is blocked from allowing air to flow through the hose. If all the above checks out, then most likely you need to replace the water level switch, part number FIX11754877. The error code F9E1 means that your washer is not draining properly. You will need to tip your washer on its back, side, or front. That will give you access to the drain pump below the tub. You are going to need to remove the pump and check for any blockage in the pump. If this does not help, you will need to replace the drain pump, part number FIX11756700. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
First some background. The door locked up the first time when appliance was less than one year old. The "Maytag Repairman" finally succeeded in getting the door open after propping up the front of the machine and fumbling around underneath for a period of time and then assured me the problem was solved. The problem recurred less than a
... Read more year later, and I called another repairman who seemed to have an easier time of it, and charged $293.42 to replace the water level switch. About six months later the same problem recurred and I took the cover off the top of the machine and found there a booklet "For Service Technician's Use Only". VERY HELPFUL. Told how extremely easy it was to unlock door - took about five seconds. Replacing the switch itself involved pulling one tubing off and disconnecting one elec connection from old switch and replacing on new switch. Total cost $50 plus a few dollars for shipping.
Turned washer on its side. Pulled the bottom plate off. Then unplugged the electrical lines. Then unbolted the drain pump and bolted the new drain pump in. Then reversed the process.
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
