WPGT9150HM General Electric Washer - Instructions

First I unplugged the washer. I removed the back of the washer and located the pump.I removed all the water from the pump, then I removed the hoses from the pump. I removed the wires from the pump and removed the two screws holding the pump in. I replaced the pump and reconnected everything. It works like new. The pump was the exact same thing ge sells but it cost a lot less.

Well replacing the pump went fine. I even did a trial run on a rinse and spin cycle and it worked great. Then i ran another cylce of clothes and walked away thinking all is well. Much to my surprise when I went to go through the utility room it was flooded. I did some inspecting and realised that I had put a hose on backwards. LOL. The good thing was that after I fixed the hose all worked well and haven't had any trouble since then. Your company was the cheapest price I found and the quickest delivery. Disconnect power and water lines. Lay the washer on it's back. Remove the nut (300) and washer (305). Rock the motor rotor (215) back and forth while pulling until it comes off the splined shaft. Remove the 3 bolts from the coupling assy (345). Remove the broken coupling (340) . Apply plastic grease to internal spline and gear teeth before reassembling in reverse of above. The machine is engineered to work on easily, however, I would not have needed to work on it if they had made the coupling assembly out of metal. The plastic gear fatigued at the internal spline and cracked apart after only 3.5 years of use.

It was going to take my normal repair person at least 5 days to get the part. I ordered the part at half of what he was going to charge me (I did pay for the overnight shipping) and he installed it the next day.

Replaced the control panel, very easy to do. Note: There is a RH and a LH control panel available. The RH or LH refers to placement of the screen and not the position of the machine. Also for troubleshooting, you can replace the suspected bad control panel with the one off the other machine as this panel is tha same for the washer and dryer.

Looked under the washer and discovered a hole on the hose. Hardest part was to remove the damaged one. After that it was easy.

Went to the website and looked at the diagram and found the part. Ordered, received on time and put back in place. Unfortunately I discovered that another hose needed to be replaced. So I ordered a new one and hopefully everything will be up running by this weekend.

Not repariable, ordered replacement and installed with no problems. Replacement was sent quickly.

In plug remove water hoses 4 screws hold top remove 6 screws hold plastic liner remove 2 1/4 hose clamps slide back remove hoses from water inlet valve 2 screws hold plastic water lines remove 5 screws hold water inlet valve lift off remove plastic water lines install new valve and replace parts in reverse

When washer failed to drain after washing, there was a test you can do with the display pad. Doing the test, the water pump would make a loud grinding noise. I knew the pump was bad, as the washer would not drain at all. The other problem was leaking water into the wash tub after washing. This had been a problem for a while . We were just turning the water off after washing clothes. This was a good time to repair this as well. Replaced the water control valve and that problem was solved as well.

I knew the machine housing was making a bearing noise for sometime and then finally went out. Ordered the parts I was sure needed to be replaced. The dis-assembly started with removing the pulsator/agitator but would not come off after removing the bolt. Called a repair tech for advise and was told I would have to chisel the plastic ring that encapsulated the female spline hub of the pulsator/agitator. After removing the bulk of the pulsator, the hub would still not come off. Acquired a gear puller and applied to the hub but still would not come off. Then applied the gear puller and added the heat of a propane torch to the hub and the hub popped free. Removed large nut on the end of the machine housing/transmission assembly at the bottom of the tub. Put the washer on it's side, removed the rotor, stator, disconnected the clutch motor from the Machine housing/transmission actuator arm. Unbolted the machine housing/transmission and removed the assembly. Installed in the reverse order using Ceramic Anti Seize on all splines and female spline connections. Six hours later I was done. Had the manufacturer used some sort of Anti Seize the job would have only taken 1.5 hours tops.

Replaced the broken cap, which would not stay in place on the pulsator, with the new one.

my daughter connected the hoses without instruction, it was very easy repair.

First, this company shipped the right part and fast as promised. I appreciated that good service. The problem was , the part is shipped with two weak clamps. I put them on and was concerned. Sure enough, on Mother's Day no less, the side of the hose attached to the tub, which moves with the tub slightly, fell off and we had another big leak. This time , I put a hose clamp on it, and I think that's the end of the problem. I should have done in the first place. GE should ship these with better clamps. Again, Part Select was great!

Repairs was real easy,first turn of power,and water supply,take of hoses,take screws of control pannel,remove pannel,then remove plastic sheild from over water valve,remove two screws from w/ valve,remove electrical,lift it out and replace it.
