Pin layouts on new timer slightly different than the old one
Took multiple photos of old timer in place. Should have taken even more. At least one of entire wiring scheme.
Compared how older wires were laid out and any uniqueness of pins they were mounted on. Unplug the unit first!
Placed pins on new timer in the configuration I thought was most correct to the old one. Process of elimination. Double and triple checked where wires went on the new controller.
Powered up and made sure the plug could be pulled quickly at any sign of trouble.
Worked. Would loved to have had a wiring diagram.
