mice had made nests in the insulation wrap in the range
I numbered every part. ex: 1 L., for first part removed left side. I used a magic marker to circle the holes and wrote the number of screws used on the part, set the srews in a separete place, so that I new where these screws went to. The cleanup was pretty time consuming, but I was able to keep my stove, when every repairman I called to

fix my stove told me I was better off buying a new stove. ($600.00 stove 2 years old)Please Note: The insulation blanket needed for the entire stove is two pieces, the sides and top are one part # and the bottom and back, are another part #. I did not know this. I just purchased the top and sides. I got lucky, the back and bottom were still in good shape. So I guess I should have read the description of the part more carefully to see what it covers, before I ordered it. It took two people two hours to do the work, it was really nice to have an extra set of eyes, to remember what direction pieces of metal from the stove went. I would do it all over in a heart beat instead of buying a new stove.

Bake portion of range does not work, looking at the bottom element of the oven you may be able to see the brake in the element if not check it with a meter to see if there is a current.

Remember left to loosen and right to tight.Buy the correct size or you will buy new screws in the end.Lay newspaper over the open door before you

reach in to the oven to keep from getting any soot or grease on your shirt when you are reaching into the oven. Remove trays from oven.Reach into the oven with the socket( a extension helps)and remove the screws.Gently pull the ends of the old element out of the back of the oven you will see they are connected to wires by slipon clips. Gently pry them off with a small screwdriver putting the screwdriver at the base and turning the screwdriver to pry them up. The box that the new element came in works nicely for the old element. Now is a good time to clean anything on the bottom of the oven while the element is out.Gently attach the wires on the new element slip them back into the back of the oven.Attach one screw but dont completely tighten then do the other one and tighten it.Now tighten the first one.Return trays remove newspaper get you clubs or fishing rod and go have a nice day.
