Idles at full speed and stalls when you press the throttle. The unit is about 6 to 8 years old. Started this year. I use Stabil in all of my gas. I have cleaned the air filter and replaced the Champion spark plug with the same model.

Hello Burney, thank you for the question. If the spark arrestor is clogged, the engine may stall. To unclog the spark arrestor, remove it and clean it with a wire brush. If the spark arrestor, part number FIX9028907, is damaged, you may need to replace it. You may need to adjust your idle screws to fix the speed issue. We hope this information helps!

I ended up having to also replace the crankshaft bearing well as the cylinder kit. The owner thought the knocking was too much oil which led to a scori g of the cylinder when it needed crank bearing replaced. Sorry Huskvarna the first one wouldn't weedeat this was the second.
