How do you replace the brushes?
For model number RTS10
Fix.com logo
Hello Rick, Thank you for the question. You would need a screwdriver to complete this job. Make sure the unit is unplugged. Retract the blade all the way down. Tilt the blade as far as it can go. Detach the saw from the legs and flip over onto the work surface. Remove 3 Philips head screws from the end of the motor. You will see two wires, each attached to a brush/holder assembly by a spade connector. One at a time, detach the spade connector and remove the brush holder. It is only held in place by friction. You might need to use a flat head screwdriver to pry it up. Note the orientation of the brush holder. Slide a new brush into a new brush holder and insert into the brush holder slot on the motor making sure it's oriented the same way as the old one. Repeat for the other brush holder. Reassemble the motor. Flip the saw over and test. We hope this helps!

I was cutting a 2x4 and the saw stopped. Now the power switch will not go to the on position. Do i need to replace the complete switch?
For model number RTS10
Fix.com logo
Hi Wayne, Thank you for your question. If your table saw stopped working while cutting a 2x4, check the power cord to make sure that it is plugged in securely and to see if it is damaged. If the power cord is damaged, it will need to be replaced. If the table saw stopped working you may have a malfunctioning armature assembly and field or on/off switch. Also, if the blade has not been sharpened or replaced recently, this may cause the table saw to bog down and stop working. You will need to inspect these parts to see which one is causing the issue. Once you have determined the part you need, please feel free to call customer service. We are open 7 days a week and anyone will be happy to assist you. We look forward to hearing from you!
