How do I change the bevel gear that races and lowers the blade on a porter cable table saw? Do I have to remove the top table section of the table saw to replace the beveled gears?
For model number PCB220TS

Hi Gerald, thank you for reaching out. Yes, to replace the bevel gear, part number FIX18981975, you need to remove the top of the table saw. Then, remove the nuts and washers at the bottom of the arm shaft. Then, unscrew that from the casing. Now, replace the gears. Replace the washers and bolts as they were. Replace the top. We hope this helps.
