I have two of these saws. Both have had the same problem with lifting the carriage. They bind up somewhere and become so hard to lift that the lift handles end up snapping. I don't know what I need to replace.

Hi Frank and thank you for reaching out. Try cleaning the underside out of all the debris that gets built up around the parts that lower and raise the blade. Once cleaned out spray the gears with a dry lubricate that will not attract dust and dirt. These parts should be cleaned as regular maintenance to prevent this. Best Regards
