I got a piece of 2x4 caught in blade . Saw tripped re set button next to on off switch . Now button won’t reset help

Hi Robert, thank you for reaching out. After cooling to a safe operating temperature, the overload protector can be closed manually by pushing the red RESET button on the front of the saw. If the red button will not snap into place immediately, the motor is still too hot and must be allowed to cool for a while longer. Glad to be of assistance!
