Hello Marla, thank you for your question. You can try this to enter Diagnostic mode: Please note, the fridge must not be in lockout mode before going into the Diagnostic mode. 1). Press SW1 and SW2 at the same time for 3 seconds. Then, depress after you hear the Chime Indicator. The display should show 01 that means the control is in step 1 of a diagnostic routine. To exit diagnostic mode, press SW1 and SW2 at the same time for 3 seconds. We hope this helps.

Fridge not cooling well and making a loud humming noise. We replaced Freon coolant today as it was low but it hasn’t helped.

Hello Marla, thank you for your inquiry. When the condenser coils or fan are dirty, the refrigerator has to work overtime, which can cause it to heat up and hum loudly. Make sure you clean them regularly, either twice a year or more often if you have pets who shed. Sometimes, the evaporator motor, part number FIX11755853, may also make noises due to ice buildup on the motor. If there is too much ice buildup, defrost the ice to see if it fixes the problem. We hope this helps.

The fridge staying around 55 degrees for a week and then slowly cooling back to 37 in a day. At this point, we had already mostly emptied the fridge as most things were spoiled. A technician replaced the damper control but that didn't seem to do anything. I just bought a heater and defrost thermostat but given that it is now cooling, it feels like something else is at fault here like the control board? Maybe the warmer temps for a week essentially "manually" defrosted the unit? Oh, and through all of this, the freezer has been holding the proper temperature or at least not obviously defrosted stuff. Any thoughts appreciated.

Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

Ice dispenser motor burnt out, water got inside.
Purchased new motor from Partselect.com. When it arrived it came with a new rubber washer that fitted on top of new motor that was not on old motor, that how water got into old motor. However, the instruction sheet did not give info on how to access the proper way to the motor that is the door. Not wanting to damage the freezer door assy. called in a tech who made it look easy, but even he had a little problem locating access panel that was directly under the motor in the freezer side of the door. After that it was a piece of cake.

while closing the door, the light switch fouled, resulting in the switch breaking
I used a flat screwdriver and released the lock tab on the bottom of the light switch, and pried the switch out, being careful to not damage the plastic around the mounting place of the switch, unplugged wiring from old switch, plugged in the new one and pushed the new switch into place. Job finished light switch now working.
