The auger motor intermittently runs on the ice maker. With no call for ice.

Hello David, thank you for contacting us. Please check the water inlet valve, part number FIX11755669, and ensure that the ice maker is uninterruptedly receiving the water. Also, investigate the cycling thermostat, part number FIX11743313. If this does not help, replacing the ice maker assembly, part number FIX11769140, can potentially solve the issue. Pressed in the end of the filter cover, lowered it down part way. Twisted the old filter 1/4 turn and removed it. Set in the sink to drain. Inserted new filter and twisted it to lock. closed cover. Done. Total time @ 1 Minute.
