Ice dispenser is not dispensing. Ice is being made, but not action when lever is pressed (except for a small amount of water). Mechanism is cube tray is free turning - not jammed. But no sound of any action.

Hello Bert, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend replacing the auger motor. The auger motor spins the auger blade and pushes the ice through the dispenser chute. If the auger motor is burned out or defective, the ice won’t move forward and fall through the chute. To determine if the auger motor is defective, pull out the ice bucket and turn the bucket auger by hand. If the auger turns freely, use a multimeter to test the auger motor for continuity. If the auger motor does not have continuity, or if the motor is getting power but won’t run, replace the auger motor, part number FIX12349163. Please submit a new question if you have any follow-ups!
Not making ice. Also - when you press the dispenser on the front door - the auger will not turn (if we manually put ice in). I have replaced the ice maker and the valve in the back. To test the valve - using multi meter - should you get continuity?
For model number KRSC503ESS01
Hello Jim, Thank you for your inquiry. Researching your model, FIX11750831 is the water inlet valve for the ice maker, and you should get continuity if you use a multimeter on the terminals. If the auger is not turning, then we would recommend checking the auger motor. Good luck with your repair.
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.
I used a flat screwdriver and released the lock tab on the bottom of the light switch, and pried the switch out, being careful to not damage the plastic around the mounting place of the switch, unplugged wiring from old switch, plugged in the new one and pushed the new switch into place. Job finished light switch now working.
