Hello Lynn, thank you for contacting us. We have researched the model and would recommend you perform the following troubleshooting steps: 1- Reset the refrigerator - Turn off the power to the fridge once more for a short period. To do this, locate the circuit breaker that is dedicated to your refrigerator and turn it off. Leave it alone for at least five minutes after it has been turned off. After that period has passed, you can turn on the circuit breaker and power up your Samsung refrigerator. 2- Reset the main control board - Leave the refrigerator for 30 minutes after performing the power reset to let it cool down. If this does not resolve the issue, the next step is to reset the control board, part number FIX9604083. To reset it, press and hold the Power Freeze and Power Cool buttons at the same time until you hear a chime. That should be sufficient to reset the Main Control Board and restore functionality to the system. 3- If the issue still does not resolve, the next step is to check the compressor, part number PS12722246. Pay close attention to hear if there are any sounds. A gentle hum indicates that the compressor is still in operation. If either the compressor or the main control board is not functioning properly, you might need to replace it. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week!

Evaporator frozen (refrigrator section) and allowing top section to lose cooling
This is the Samsung French door refrigerator style that so many people have complained about freezing up and not cooling the top section. I first changed out the defrost thermostat and this did not correct the problem. I done a quick resistance check on the temp sensor that's mounted on the evaporator itself. The resistance would change w hen holding an ice cube on the sensor so I just assumed it was ok. PLEASE TAKE NOTE: When performing a resistance check on this sensor, make sure your readings match the Samsung temp/resistance chart in their literature. My sensor was way off calibration and was causing the freeze up. Its working as designed now and DW is happy again. Learn from my mistake.
