Evaporator Fan failure
The reason I repaired it myself was because the repairman that diagnosed the problem.didn't come back in two weeks. The evaporator fan sits behind a vented wall in the freezer and directs cold air into freezer and refrigerator.I removed the ice make assembly first and then the freezer wall held in place by two sheet metal nuts. Then removed wires from fan motor. Removed the fan blade from fan motor, which was press fitted on,then removed fan motor from bracket assembly(make sure and retain the two vibration rubber washers on back and front of motor. Reinstall new motor with vibration washers and press fan blade on new motor. Install in bracket assemble and reassemnble.

Food was freezing in the fridge
Spoke to a repair technician online described what was happening as food keep freezing in the fridge.
He advised me to change the thermistor and if that didn't work the control board as those are the only 2 things that would cause food to freeze.
Changed thermistor and fridge is running at proper temp very disappointed with whirlpool as fridge is only 2 years old and had issues already .
Now that its repaired its Time for a COLD beer !!!

Scratches in Surface
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.

Broken right side track on drawer
I ordered both tracks for replacement. It was very simple to remove the glass shelf. Turn upside down and match the replacements to what is attached to the shelf. You need a butter knife or screwdriver to release the three clips connecting the track to the shelf. Very carefully press down on the clips to disengage and pull off of the shelf for all three clips. Line up thethe new part and push in until you hear it click in. That is all there is to it. Now you might as well clean the fridge.

Refrigerator runs continuously
I unplugged the refrigerator to remove power. I pried off the back plastic cover. Loosened the two screws with a nut driver. Disconnected the original thermistor and connected the new thermistor. Rerouted the wire and replaced the plastic covers. Restored power and waited for the refrigerator to return to temperature and shut off.
This didn't happen. The refrigerator continued to run. Contacted an appliance repair group and it was determined the `control circuit card' was defective. Part has been ordered. The thermistor did not resolve the problem, as stated in the original problem support contained on the web site.

Our refrigerator fan motor stopped working.
Most important, remove bracket attached to freezer rear wall and put entire fan motor assembly together, including attaching power supply, ground wire, front bracket and fan blade (be sure rubber vibration dampeners are in place on both brackets) THEN attach the whole assembly to the rear freezer wall! Doing it this way is so much easier, and you won't run the risk of losing a screw behind the condenser, as I did!

The track holding the meat and cheese tray partially broke off.
Easiest repair ever! Took maybe 5 minutes. Use the flathead screwdriver to push down on the three tabs holding the track onto the glass shelf and gently remove the old track. The new track snaps right in. Put the shelf back in the fridge, slide in the tray and it's done!

Middle drawer track cracked
I read the other comments on how easy the repair was, followed their advice, and it worked like a charm. Just use a screwdriver or butter knife to pop the track off the shelf and pop the new one back in.
The hardest part was getting the items in the refrigerator out of the way!
