The dispenser arm pad is NOT included. You must order that part separately. This arm, when activated, causes the ice dispenser to deliver ice.

This is part of the ice door chute and acts as a barrier (insulator) when the chute is not being used. It helps keep the ice cold once the ice cubes are conveyed from the container to the discharge opening.

Ice Dispenser had jammed up and become inoperative
The parts discription was a bit vague and I wasn't sure exactly what I was ordering, but I received everything I needed and it works fine. The combination screw conveyor/ice crusher came in one piece. The ice cube bin is a plastic assembly that snaps apart. I used a wide blade screw driver carefully to facilitate assembly/disassembly.

Once you have it apart the old converyor slips out and the new one slides in. Do not remove the two screws that hold the new assembly together. You need a phillips scredriver to take out two of the screws from the old assembly and put in the new one. That is, there are four screws and you need to trasfer two of them. Everything now works fine.

the ice/water actuator switch burnt out and was stuck on.
Removed the rubber cover over the actuator switch. Used a screwdriver to remove the switch, disconnected the wires. I then removed the switch from the mounting bracket using a small philips head screw driver. Installed the new switch on the mounting bracket then installed the switch onto the freezer door. Both ice and water trigger paddles broken off.
I called in a pro repairman, but he had a problen removing the facia plate on the front of the door. It was not attached by spring clips as he had assumed, but rather double sided tape with a very strong adhesive. This is where the knife came in as he laboriously worked it around the facia plate to break the adhesion of the tape. From the

time he got the plate off things went fairly swiftly, as he proceeded to remove the screws under the plate; more screws inside the door so the mechanism could be pulled out the back. The parts fit perfectly and all was soon reassembled if reverse order. The repairman used more adhesive to replace the facia plate. The repair was complete and all functioned well.
