Replace Thermistor in back of freezer
Turn off power, remove upper and lower drawers (may need to open upper refrigerator doors to remove large freezer bin,) remove drawer supports (upper and lower), remove rear freezer panel (trick is to loosen 4 screws on fan bumpout to get the panel to come free from the freezer side wall), test thermistor with multimeter (should have continuity or near zero resistance across 2 orange fuse wires) before cutting zip ties, cut zip ties holding Thermistor in place, remove old Thermistor, install new Thermistor, install new zip ties, replace rear freezer panel, install upper and lower drawer supports, install drawers, turn on power, should be fixed if error code doesn't return after 6 hours.

The lights wouldn't always come on.
I actually watched a YouTube video for LG refrigerators. The hardest part was taking the wire harness out. Mine was really stuck in there. But got it, put the new switch in and viola it worked. Yay!

the ice bin was extremely easy to set in....no explanation necessary however, The customer service left a lot to be desired!
The ice bin I ordered did not arrive on time and, when tracking indicated it was delivered, it was not here. I notified customer service and was told that they would cancel that order and I could order again.and make a payment, to include shipping, again and I would be reimbursed. Two days later the first order showed up. I notified customer service that the item had shown up and I installed it therfore requested the second order be deleted. Was told that it was already enroute and they would send me necessary paperwork to return it. upon receipt of the paperwork I followed the instructions bur, when I contacted UPS (as directed) was advised that I would have to pay shipping of about $19. unless Partselect requested and paid for shipping and sent me the shipping label. I received the shipping label but, when I contacted UPS was advised that I would stoll have to pay to have the item picked up at my house and, unless I wanted to pay that cost I should deliver the package to a UPS pick up location........all the way across town through heavy traffic, about 25 miles. I should have kept the second bin along with the first, given it away or thrown it away and the cost would have been re imbursed. Trying to do the right thing, I was responsible for additional cost and aggravation .......Thanks a lot!!!!

Ice maker bail frozen. Chose to replace the entire assembly
Examined old ice maker. It is held by some Philips screws. There are many screws you don't need to unscrew so look carefully. Then disconnected th dual in line connector. There is a little push tab to squeeze to release. Then the ground is connected with a screw. It's a little hard to see but unscrew that. My replacement came with no instructions or screws so try not to drop the screws down in the netherlands of the fridge. The hardest part was maneuvering the icemaker to reattach the power and ground. Even with that pretty straight forward replacement.

Broken door gasket retainer
Go to this site on You Tube to watch the "how to" replace the gasket retainer. The retainer I needed did not come with brackets or the cam you will need. You will need transfer them from the old retainer to the new one. Not hard, just be mindful of position of the items you remove to put them back in place the same way. A metal rod holds the brackets and spring in place with a screw on one end to prevent rod from sliding off retainer. The cam has a screw that holds it in place, use from old retainer. If the old cam is not broken use the one from the old retainer. It is not hard and you will save $$$ that you would pay an appliance repair company.
