Water filter light came on in my refrigerator.
Opened the water filter sleeve on the inside of my refrigerator. Removed the old water filter cartridge. It was a little stuck so I used a pliers to turn the cartridge counterclockwise. The old cartridge slipped out. I inserted the new cartridge and turned it in clockwise until it "clicked." Closed the water filter sleeve. Reset the button on my fridge. All set to go.

Water Filter had not been replaced since new
Of course I had to order the filter and upon receiving it I installed the new one in about a couple of minutes. Even though my fridge doesn’t have a water dispenser it does make ice. Removed all the old ice from tray and disposed of it cause it was getting a bad taste to it. I let the tray fill up with ice once and disposed of the ice. After it filled up a second time I tasted the ice and had a very good clean taste. And my lesson is I need to replace filter at least once a year I think would be sufficient. That’s all there is to it, simple !!!
