LGTR2042TF0 Frigidaire Refrigerator - Instructions

I had put in a new ice maker and it still had the problem, (I needed the Ice maker anyway) I installed the vale and while I was at it I put a five year filter on the water line that went from the value to the Ice maker, it took less than one hours, the ice is making like it did when it was new, I could not be more please at theis time. Frig area was at about 50 degrees and would not get cooler. Freezer was working great.
Empty the freezer and remove the two screws that hold the back panel of the inside of the freezer on. Pull the panel out and you will see the fan that is mounted to the back of the panel. If the fan is not running, disconnect it (quick connector) and check to see if there is voltage coming to it from the connector (should be 120VAC between the two wires). If there is power, and the fan was not working, replace the fan.

Fan just snaps into the holder on the back panel and plugs into the quick connector. Make sure you clear any ice build-up in the hole between the freezer and the frig that the fans blows through. Put it back together and verify the fan runs.

Lifted out old part, removed glass shelf and slid it into position in new frame. Reploaced the frame in refridgerator. Slid plastic storage bins into place. Job Done.

I removed a couple of screws from the old part, and inserted the new part. Replaced the screws and I was done. No problem. I'm an almost 60 year old woman, and fixed this myself. It was so easy.

(cardbord) the fan will come off and go back on by hand no tools needed i changed the fan motor just to be sure. 3 little screws hold it on. the plug only goes on one way u can't mess it up.very easy job u shouldn't have any problems doing it.Jim

I slid the new glass in place

I removed the back cover and removed the clip holding the compressor- run capacitor and start relay. I replaced these 2 components and clean the dust from the frig., and from the bottom of the floor. I replaced the back cover ; Loss about $300 worth of meat when when the frig. failed. Then I thought that, during these turbulent times, there are many which don't have a refrigerator or any meat to place in it, The refrigerator is "running" normal again.

Took off old part and installed new part

I ordered the part, it arrived within 48 hours. I opened the fridge and put the shelf in perfectly!

I removed the glass from the cover, removed the 2 crispier pans and removed and discarded the broken cover. I installed the new cover by making sure the back was flush against the back wall of the refrigerator. After that I replaced the glass and drawers and it was as good as new.

I called in because the model # of the refrigerator did not show up on the website. The cust. srvc. rep looked it up and found the part. It was reasonably priced, I received it in a matter of days and it fit perfectly. Thank you! We were preparing to put the condo on the market and broke the shelf while cleaning. It was great to have a resource for a reasonably priced replacement and quick shipment.

I unplugged the fridge and unscrewed the back cover,unscrewwd the two screws holding the water valve in place and the water line to the ice maker and the electrical connection and install the new water valve,then buttoned everything back up and plugged the fridge back in and it is working great,making ice as normal.

I found a couple of videos online of a similar product fix to get a lay of the land. When I got the part, I unplugged the unit and turned off the water. It was easy to take off the back panel and remove the old water intake valve to swap it out for the new one. Once I attached everything again I could see that the valve was taking up water but it didnt seem to be going all the way to the icemaker. I gave it some time and by the next day, there was fresh ice!

Easiest way to install was to insert the cover first then insert the glass insert being sure to tilt a little and inert under the shallow lip at the front of the cover. Not a good idea to assemble before inserting in the fridge. When cleaning the refrigerator shelves in the past I took then out of the refrigerator, cleaned them and re-installed in the method above. Just was not careful enough removing when I dropped the glass

I broke the glass shelf in my refrigerator. I had trouble navigating the website, so I called the customer service line, and the lady was lovely to speak with, and ordered my part quickly! In 2 days I had the part, and it fit perfectly!
