My freezer is 28 my fridge side is 36-39 both fans are running heating element is working what could it be. I’ve bought both sides thermostats defrost thermostat what could it be I haven’t replaced anything. There was a huge brick of ice on coils but I defrosted that but temperature are still not where they should be

Thank you for your question. If the fresh food and freezer sections of your refrigerator are too warm, we would recommend checking the electronic control board and the capacitor. We hope this helps!

Why does my fridge side not getting cool but the freezer is cold?

Hi Andrea,
Thank you for your question. If the fresh food section of your refrigerator is not cooling, we recommend checking the defrost thermostat kit, but you should also check the damper control assembly, the run capacitor and the evaporator fan motor. We hope this helps with the repair!

In my specific appliance the water valve is located in the bottom right hand corner looking at it from the back. To get to it I remove the thin layer of cardboard the covers the back of the fridge. valve assembly in place. I took the water valve out and removed the electrical connections as well as the plastic tubing which feed the water dispenser and the ice maker. To install the new water valve it was just a matter of reversing steps.
