Lights inside refrigerator not working
I used a flat-head screwdriver to pop out the old light rocker switch. Then, I unplugged the wires, plugged them into the new light rocker switch, and then popped the new switch into the hole. That's it! Lights began working again.

Broke glass shelf when cleaning fridge
Hubby and I were cleaning both fridges and I did not realize that the shelves holding the crisper drawers were not the same. The kitchen fridge shelf is all one piece (frame and glass), but the garage fridge shelf is not -- the glass just sits on the frame. I tilted it up vertically to rinse it off in the kitchen sink and CRASH, the shelf fell out and broke everywhere. We found glass bits for weeks. Anyway, I went online to find a replacement shelf, found PartSelect (best online price) and ordered. I broke the original shelf on a Saturday and received the replacement shelf on Tuesday. Note to self: remove the glass crisper drawer shelf first, then remove the shelf frame.

Light Switch broke
An easy job for smaller hands. Removed the two bolts holding the light cover. Removed two electrical connections from the old switch by pinching the retaining clip, removed the switch, snapped in the new one and re-attached the connectors. Your online illustrations helped me to know that the plastic housing for the light switch would only swing down so far and was not intended to be removed. Saved me from breaking that plastic cover's tabs. This home repair saved me more than 5 times the cost of hiring a professional to do it. Very happy homeowner.

Coils frozen in refrigerator
Cooling coils froze up. Removed back panel in freezer section. After thawing coils, manually advanced defrost timer to check if fan stopped and defrost (heat) strips energized. Fan did stop, but heating strips did not energize to thaw coils. Used electrical meter to determine circuit was open at defrost thermostat. Ordered replacement and installed in about 20 minutes. No issues so far.

The light switch on the refridgerator broke - no light.
Once I saw the replacement part I understood how to pry out the switch with a small screwdriver. Then just unplug the old one, plug in the new one and pop it into place.

The PartSelect site made it easy to correctly identify the correct part, it was inexpensive, and the shipping was fast.

I'm very pleased!

gasket was not sealing everywhere
After unloading the door We took it off and laid it on the island. WE were then able to take all of the screws out without the door falling apart. Starting at the top we removed the old gasket and put on the new. The gasket was somewhat distorted but the hair dryer helped soften and shape it. We then put the door back on and used the hair dryer to shape any problems . This took right at one hour.
A power screwdriver is absolutely essential.

lower left shelf support was broken
I removed all contents from the lower shelf. I, then removed both of the pull out drawers. Secondly, I removed the lower glass shelf and the glass support tray. At this point all four plastic shelf supports were accessible. I removed the inner screw from all four supports and replaced with four new shelf supports. Then reassembled in reverse order. Very easy to do!

light not working in fridge
It was so easy!

Thanks for the rush to my home on the part.

I just unscrewed the plate that locks in the light switch (screwdriver) and unplugged the old faulty part and plugged in the new switch, screwed the cover back on and I was done!

Easy!

And I am not Mr. Fix-it!

water leaked into refrigerator
Once I identified the problem, Partselect's web page made it easy to find a replacement part. The Housing Control unit was easy to remove as it had one screw in the middle, by the temprature control section, and two screws to either end. The center screw required a philips head, but the end once did not need to be removed. The unit could simply be slid out and the wiring is easy to disconnect. Then it was simply a process of inserting the components from the damaged Housing Control unit, to the new one. If you treat it like a "puzzle" you'll get the results you want with out the aggrevation that it could turn into.

I broke the glass shelf over the crisper drawers
I was helping my son clean the refrigerator in the house he just bought and I accidentally broke the tempered glass shelf while cleaning it. I felt terrible. Glad I found your site. Your web site was really easy to use and you had the part to me in two days. It fit perfectly. Many thanks!
