2092B0A Roper Range - Instructions

Turned off power to range because I was scared. Unscrewed broiler element, pulled part forward and pulled off wires that were attached to the back, attached wires to new element, pushed it back in place, screwed it back on to oven. Cooked my bruchette!

First I removed the ovem door, then I removed the 4 screws, unplugged element and plugged in the new one, then replace the screws and door. It should have been a 10 min job but I'm old and a bit fat...slowed me down.

1. Move oven out from wall 2. Remove back panel of oven, 8 screws 3. Remove 3 screws inside oven holding element 4. Pulled wire connections off of element 5. Reverse procedure to install new element

SUPER EASY! The part arrived very quickly. I turned off the circuit breaker, unscrewed the few nuts, pulled out the element and reversed the process. 'works beautifully! Thanks so much.

The broiler unit had disintegrated at both connections. I removed the two screws in the top of the oven holder the unit, pulled out the unit, measured and ordered a replacement.

To replace the element, I pulled out the stove, removed the rear panel, located the connections for the broiler unit, remove parts of the old unit. I then attached the new unit to the top of the oven with the two screws, went around back and pushed in the two connections, replaced the back cover and replace the stove. It took about 30 minutes because I cleaned everything and sprayed bug spay (another plus for doing the repair myself).

Well, when you put the back cover on and screw it down make sure you have nothing touching the white wire leading to the oven light. I did and it blew the push switch when I threw the 220 breaker. Actually, the light was on when I came in the room, but when I pushed the switch on the front panel it sparked in the rear and popped the breaker. Then I saw the short and when I tested the switch it would not click. The install was fine.

Removed original screws from old defective element and slipped in new replacement element.
Perfect fit!

turn off electric breaker, unscrew the 2 screws unplug the 2 ends replace old element with new repeat previous steps but unfortunately the control panel was also failing and that item has been discontinued.

The only problem we had was hanging on to the small screws that held the element up. No power screw drivers, so it took a little while to keep a hold of those screws. Considering we are 87 and 84 we feel great that we were able to replace both the bottom element and the broiler. I like the stove, and preferred not to shop for a new one. First, turn off the breaker to the oven, then turn off the service disconnect to the whoe house. I play safe.) Open the door, pull out the oven racks to allow space. Using a Phillips screw driver, unscrew the screws near the front of the oven to loosen the element. Using both hands, pull the element straight out of the holes in the back of the oven, where you will find electric wires attached to them. Pull the ends of the element off the wire connectors. Throw it away. Get you new element, attach the element ends to the connectors. Raise it up to the top of the oven and screw the screws back in to the holes in the top of the oven. You are finished. (The only reason this took me 30 minutes is because I am an old 79 year old granny and can't bend so well, or see so well. I had to use a little acrylic paint on my finger tips to mark the screw holes, it was taking too long to find them the old way, by feel.) GG

Four screws hold the broiler element. I removed the two at the top, then removed the two screwed to the back keeping the element in place. I slowly pulled the element forward and used alligator clips to keep the wire connectors from falling back behind the oven. I disconnected the wires from the broken element and replaced it with the new element. I removed the alligator clips. I screwed the two screws on the back and the two on top and I was finished. Problem solved.

Unscrewed 4 screws holding element. Disengaged one wire, but 2nd one was separated while pulling through rear wall. Could not grasp the wire from the front. Then unscrewed 4 screws along sides of oven to pull casing away from wall cavity. Sat oven on a box while unscrewing 12 rear panel screws. Pulled wire through from back into oven. (Didn't need to do this because new element extended through the rear wall to access from back. Could have reattached wires to new element from the rear, but didn't realize this soon enough.)....two days later reinstalled new broiler element reattaching wires inside the oven and replacing 4 screws holding element in the oven. To replace the back panel I had to lay oven on its face so the holes on back of would fit with the rear panel. Put 12 screws back on. Then pushed oven back into wall cavity and put 4 screws holding oven in place. It is now working!

I oedered a new unit matched with the Model Number! Installed .It did not work.They said Part amybe defectice.They quickly sent out another.That was installed and did not work.I contacted them again and they sugessted the Modular unit that regulated the Heat Temp. They were discontinued. They suggested I contact Corecentic Solution.com which I did.I am now in the process of shipping out my Modular Element to have it rebuilt. My stove is over 20 Yrs old .It inly costs me $110.00 to fix ourselves. Thank YouParts Select.com. You saved me over $1700.00 It would have cost to buy a new stove. They also gave me a full refund on the two units they shipped out. They are a wonderful helpful Company and will take care of your parts needs. Thanks Again Joyce

Unplugged the range, took the bad element out, and inserted the new one. Plugged the range back in. It worked fine....
