The oven's bottom bake element burned up
First I turned the circuit breaker switch off for the stove unit. I then removed the two screws that hold the element in place at the back of the oven. I then pulled the element out about 3 inches and disconnected the two wires. I attached the new element, bolting the wires into place and then screwed the element back into place on the back wall of the oven. I flipped the breaker switch back on, and turned on the oven. I was done in roughly 15 minutes. The most difficult part was having to shine a flash light into the oven to replace the part, and negotiating the hard cold kitchen floor.

The oven element burned completely into.
I first removed the two screws holding the element in place. Then I pulled the element out about 2 or 3 inches and then took out the 2 small screws holding the 2 wires in place. I then removed the old element and discarded it and installed the new one in the reverse order that I took out the old one. It was quite easy to do, only took about 10 to 15 minutes total time.

When moving the range, the 220 wire popped off the terminal and arced melting the plastic terminal
I looked for a new terminal locally, but no one had s terminal that would fit a 40-year old range. I went on line to PartSelect and could not find my model range, so I looked through all the terminals listed on the website (about 500) but found only one that was close to mine. Mounting holes did not match, but it had 3 connectors with 220 capability, so I ordered it. I requested express shipping by UPS and thought I paid for the extra charge. When I got notification of shipment. I saw it was via ground. It went from Louisville to Jacksonville to Clearwater, FL. I ordered it on Thursday night and received it the following Tuesday night. Meanwhile, we had no stove to cook on. When the part came, it took two days to get the contractor back to our condo. He drilled new holes on the mounting box and jerry-rigged the wiring to make it fit. The range is now working, but I was disappointed in the delay in shipping which I agreed to express shipping.

Old drip bowls could not be cleaned

Old drip pans rusted out.
Range is 45 yrs old. New drip pans are different shape. This is only place which had them and VERY GOOD price. Delivery was quick, too!

I needed new Drip Pans
I purchased a set of drip pans at the store only to find out that they were not for GE Ranges. I got on line and inquired and your representative was very helpful. The repair was easy. After cleaning the stove I removed the old drip pans and installed them one by one. No problem!

old stained drip bowls
I tried first to replace them, with a set I bought at a local hardware store. But they were too small. So I went on the internet, and found Part Select, and thanks to a very helpful guy, who made the extra effort to find the exact drip bowls, I now have a nice, shiny stove-top again. Installing them took two minutes... tilt the burners up, and slide them in. No problem.

Element burned into.
TURN POWER TO OVEN OFF AT POWER PANEL 1- Remove element: 2 screws ... cut wire at element because of burned area. 2- Crimp two new wire lug connectors onto wire and attach to new element with supplied screws. 3- Attach element to back of oven: 2 screws ... TURN POWER ON AGAIN AND TEST OVEN
