Burner was "shot"
After removing the 2 screws, pulling the element out, & disconnecting the 2 wires, I started installing the new element. 20 years ago, this may have been easy, but...after so many years of use, and grease fumes and who knows what, the new connections were difficult to connect. Over door light needed to be replaced
Pulled out the old light on the front of the door house where the door closes and replaced the door light switch
