The hose was broken - separated from the connector
I was disappointed to find the hose kit to not be correct, since the information on the site said it would work for my model. After trying various combinations of ends I decided to modify my existing connector. It had a ridge that would not let the hose coupler go on. I was able to grind that ridge off. I then fitted the connector over th e end, after putting waterproof adhesive on the end. I let that set up for 4 hours, then inserted the hose inside the other end. So far it is holding.
