Door handle broke at bottom
First -- and this was the key to success -- I watched a couple of Youtube videos on "Replacing a microwave door handle". As one video suggested, I placed a large towel underneath where I was working (over the stovetop) to catch any falling parts but this proved unnecessary. Once I removed the two screws from the end of the door, the ins ide of the door pried off easily with a screwdriver. It did want to drop quickly though, so be ready to hang onto it. The handle was attached with two screws (which I reused, no problem). It took a few minutes to re-insert the inside of the door into the frame, but once that's done, you just re-install the two end screws and you're finished.
