Trip breaker when opening door
Door microswith was stuck on. This is caused, I discovered, by frequently stopping the oven, while running, by opening the door rather than using the stop button. Causes the switch to arc and eventually fail. This causes the safety microswitch to trip the breaker when door is opened. There are little nubs sticking up on the spade connectors. You must squeeze them down before you can remove them from the switch. The main door switch is the upper one, mounted at an angle. You have to remove the latch assembly to remove the switch. The problem was obvious once I got the switch out. This problem could also blow the fuse, but in my case the breaker tripped first. Use an ohmmeter to check switch and fuse. The door switch is normally open. The safety switch is normally CLOSED. Instructions inside were helpful and described this problem. So, avoid this repair by always stopping oven with stop button!

GE Wave Guide Cover was fried, needed replacement
The wave guide cover (wgc) are notoriously bad on this model. As far as I can tell even a little food that gets stuck on it combined with cooking small/insubstantial items will cause the wgc to overheat and catch on fire. Ordered a part from partselect, found it very easily on their site using a nice diagram and ordered it. The item came in two days and was a cinch to pop in and replace.

Remove white plastic button retainer (flipped out of my fingers and lost it. Found it 2 days later. Dog had chewed on it.) tabs on cover fit in nicely. New cover gets hot. Don't know if this is normal.

Microwave was popping and sparking flying
Removed the old wave guide cover and replaced it by slightly bending the wave guide cover and inserting 2 tabs on each side into the slots on the side of the micro/convection oven. I was ready to purchase a new appliance. Googled the model number, looked at a couple of sites and read the problems others had with this appliance and found my problem. I saved $$$ by purchasing the part and extended the life of my 11 year old appliance.

Just a little bit too big.
I had kept the old cover, just measured it against the new one, outlined it with a pencil, cut it to the correct size with a pair of scissors. Works perfectly now!

tray would slowly rotate when door was open.
I determined that one of the 4 micro switches that interface with the door was faulty. Ordered that part and replaced it. Had to remove the cover and front control panel (without removing any connections. Two philips screws hold the limit switch assembly to the bracket. After removing those screws, twist the whole switch assembly clockwise around the mounting frame and now you can remove the defective micro switch and replace it with a new one. This works for any of the 4 switches.

Major sparking on right side of microwave.
Used my pocket knife to remove the locking button that holds the wave guide cover in place. Took out the old wave guide cover and cleaned the area around it. Put the new wave guide cover in place and inserted the locking button. VERY easy to do. So easy a caveman could do it!!! Seriously.
