When i turn it on to light, i can hear air coming through the manifold but fuel never gets to the mantles.

Thank you for your question. If your lantern is not lighting, the generator or the fuel air tube is blocked with soot or dirt. You will need to inspect these parts to see which one is causing the issue. If you have any questions, please let us know. Replace valve stem packing
Remove valve, the packing is malleable this is important to know, you need to form the packing and press into valve nut use as much or as little as you need replace valve.
