The lawn mower goes forward but wont back up

Hello Frank, Thank you for writing. We suggest checking the fuel and air filters. A dirty fuel filter can keep gasoline from flowing to your mower's engine properly, resulting in a lawn mower not working properly. Faulty or Dirty air filters also can prevent your lawn mower from going forward or in reverse due to the engine will overheat quickly. Will not turh over. I jumpered it, no results. Hour meter does no illuminate. Completely dead when ignition key is turned on.
