My mower deck rotted out.
I purchased a new deck and it was a perfect fit thanks to the woman that I spoke with on the phone. And the price was great along with the shipping. Thanks for everything.

I replaced the deck on my Craftsman Lawn Mower, and needed a new water nozzle and some screws to hold the front wheel assembly on.
I removed the rear wheels, then I removed the blade, then the motor, then the front wheel assembly. The bolts holding the front wheel assembly were rusted and rounded trying to remove them, so I cut them out with a grinder. Afterwards I removed the remainder of the screw with a pair of pliers. I also removed the Water jet cleanout nozz le, found it was cracked, ordered the part from PartSelect, along with the screws needed to attach the front wheel assembly. I cleaned the remaining parts and re installed them onto the new deck. First, I installed the front wheel assembly, then the motor, then sat the mower upright, installed the blade, then took the rear wheel assembly and aligned it and fastened it to the deck. Last piece was the water nozzle. I placed it in the recess for it, and fastened it with the bolt. Then I tested the mower, and it worked without issue. Afterwards I used the new clean out port to rinse the underside of the deck, and it worked well.

Although the Original deck was rusted and collapsing , the mower was extremely reliable.
Anyone attempting this probably doesn’t need my tutorial but I would add this: closely inspect, clean and repair or replace any hardware as needed. You’ll be glad you did.
