My Kenmore 100 series washer bangs when it spins, not sure what to do
For model number 11020222510
Hello Ashley, thank you for the question. Make sure the load has not all accumulated on one side of the drum, as an off-balance load may cause a slight banging sound. If it is all good, we would recommend checking the Drive Pulley, part number FIX10057144, and Gearcase, part number FIX16220913. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order, anyone will be happy to assist you. We hope that helps.
Hi Robert, Thank you for asking. To remove the agitator bolt, use a 7/16th inch socket with a long extension. To prevent the agitator from spinning while you are unthreading the bolt, hold onto the bottom of the agitator. Once you have unthreaded the bolt, lift the upper agitator out of the washer and hold the bottom of it, so it does not come apart. Then remove the bolt from the agitator and then remove the bolt out of the spring assembly. We hope this information is useful!
unfasten top from back, slide top forward and lift up, remove switch and cable (one piece), in stall new switch and cable, put top down and slide back, reinstall screws.
This product comes in a bottle with a brush like Liquid Paper. It goes on incredibly easy. A second coat might be needed. I wanted to prevent rust from setting in so I covered the scratches and dings. The paint is a little brighter since my washer is 10 years old but it still looks great.
