This is a plastite screw for a variety of power tools. It is almost an inch long with a pan head. A plastite screw is needed when using harder plastics. It is more resistant to stripping and pulling out.

Trimmer stopped working. Does motor have brushes that are replaceable? I replaced switch and motor still will not start. Wires appear intact.

Hi Ken, thank you for reaching out. Yes, your model has a carbon brush. You will need to replace the brush, part number FIX10170839, to fix your issue. Glad to be of help!
