Microwave does not close or latch, Light stays on
The Frigidaire oven the stove microwave latch is designed to fail. The mechanism is operated by the thinnest plastic hook secured to a fairly strong spring. s are on the internet for the entire repair. Be sure to verify the actual length of the latch as there are several that look exactly alike but are of a different length. A temporary repair can be accomplished by using a small tie wrap and extending the spring to 4.5 cm.
