Serial#id53731832 for the life of me i cannot figure the year this sears Kenmore chest freezer was made. Can you help thanks rick
For model number 25312702410
Hi Rick,
Thank you for your question. We were unable to verify the age of the freezer from the model and serial numbers, but if you look on the label where you found them, in the upper left or right corner or just under the serial number, you will find the month and year (MM/YY) that it was manufactured. If it does not show this, you will need to contact Kenmore. If you have any questions, please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!

Why does my compressor kicks off when I raise the thermostat
For model number 25312702410
Hello James, thank you for contacting us. The compressor on your freezer is shutting off when the thermostat is raised because the mechanical cold-control thermostat is stuck open or out of calibration. When the dial is turned toward a warmer setting, the faulty thermostat interprets the target temperature as already satisfied and cuts power to the compressor prematurely. To confirm this is the issue, turn the dial to its coldest setting, if the compressor runs continuously and the unit gets cold, your sealed refrigerant system is fine and the thermostat, part number FIX2582607, is faulty and will need replacement. Glad to be of assistance!
