its best to use power screw driver lot of screws .took out all screws took off door took out side to remove ice from door. just used water to melt ice. took off old gasket and put on new gasket. put door in place and started screws in four coners do not tighten screws at this point.put in rest of screws. work arondclock wise making sure gasket is seated while tighing screws. check gasket for flatness you may have to use hair dryer on gasket to make it flat.

Simply unscrew panel but do not remove it. Remove old gasket. Fit new gasket between panel and door. Fasten screws and no more leaks and better temperature contol. This was so easy and rejuvenated my freezer. Thank you for quick shipment, great service, easy to navigate website, and fast phone help. Removed old cold temperature control; tested with ohm meter and determined that the control was bad; ordered new cold control from PartSelect.com. Installed new cold temperature control with no problems; freezer is now running like new again!

removed door and took all the screws out of the inside door rack. removed old door seal . replaced door seal and made sure that the seal fit around and door rack fit into the groove then replaced all screws and tightened choosing random sections to tighten .replaced the door plugged back in wires that I removed and replaced door hinge screws . Shut door and checked sealing 2 hours later .Complete seal .

Removed old gasket, then installed new gasket. Make sure to allow new gasket to set out for a few days prior to installing to get all wrinkles out, use a heat gun after installing to make gasket shape to freezer door.

On 08/13 / 2025 starting in the AM --- My Wife Marie Defrosted -- Cleaned and dried the Kenmore up right freezer she has had for more than 33 years --- She noticed there was screws behind the inside door gasket and informed yours truly --- 1st Jacques loosened all the screws then removed the old gasket -- took it cleaned it and boxed it in the box the new gasket came in --- Took new freezer door gasket and installed it neatly around the door by tucking back part of door gasket between door panel and door --- once all was in place started tightening all screws starting at bottom holding bottom gasket material tight with other hand --- then working counter clock wise till done !!! there you go it was very easy and turned out great !!! Loosen screws, removed old gasket seal, replace with new gasket (nice to use 2 sets of hands) and re screwed. Used hairdryer to heat up and fluff out a spot that wasnt seal all the way. Pretty simplementation to do.

Used needle nosed pliers to twist and pull out remainder of broken parts (regular pliers would work, fingers might). Used fingers to insert replacements. So, simple, so glad I did it!

Unscrew all the fasteners from the door inner cover from the bottom to top to hold it in position, got rid of the old gasket.

I Cleaned all and install the new gastket into the door inner cover. then reintalled cover to the starting from the top to bottom to hold it in place.

this is a one man job but with two will be easer

Put the new temperature control unit in plugged freezer back in and immediately turned on. Very simple repair. Saved a lot of money not having to purchase new or call a repair shop.

Needed to remove both left and right broken (plastic) supports and reinsert the new parts. Not hard at all...worked like a charm!

I stuck the new stop-basket in the hole where it belonged.

Pulled the freezer out and unscrewed the screws around door. Gasket slide right out. After placing the new gasket, I used a hair dryer and sealed the gasket tighter. Works like a charm!! Very pleased with this do-it-yourself fix.

This is accomplished by jumpering the two control wires to keep the compressor on and plugging the appliance cord into a timer with a 2hr on and 4hr off cycle. use the thermometer verify 0 degrees. 3. When the temp control is delivered unplug the power cord and proceed to repace the temp control, using care not to crimp the temp sensor bulb tubing. A #1 phillips screwdriver will release the control housing and temp sensor clamp assy. When complete set control to mid range and plug appliance into wall outlet. Use thermometer to set desired temp.

The installation was really simple, no problem. No instructions needed. What surprised me was, The new thermostat was installed in less then 24 hours after it was ordered. I live in FL
